N Scale Modular Layout

In January 2023 the NWV membership voted to support development of an N-scale T-Trak modular group. Like with the NWV’s HO Free-Mo modular group, there is a set of modules owned by the NWV to create a base configuration, then members build member-owned modules to be available for display at NWV events.

The NWV has two 180-degree end cap modules, two double-crossover modules, a five-track-wide, three modules yard, two inner and two outer corner modules and two 1x straight modules. Members have already completed ten member-owned modules, with all summing to 38 feet of operational layout!

The group has displayed layouts at fourteen events to date, including:

March 2025 – NWV “Vermont Rails” Show, St. Albans

These configurations used primarily member modules, the yard modules were built for the large display at the Champlain Valley Fair in August 2024. Across these fourteen displays, the member modules have been assembled in many different configurations, demonstrating the flexibility of this modular approach.
