Photos – John McLeod’s Middlebury College N-scale Architecture Display – December 6, 2024
NWV member John McLeod is a Professor of Architecture at Middlebury College, and for one of his fall semester classes he had the students design a railroad passenger station. He then had them create models of their designs in 1/160 scale, the dimensions of N-scale model trains.
On December 6, 2024, they held an open house to display their work. To make it more interesting, they built benchwork around the display area and laid a 21 x 31 foot loop of N-scale track around the perimeter, so that model passenger trains could run past the eighteen station models!
NWV members helped John with the construction and loaned equipment for the tracks and trains. Here are a few photos from the event:

Setting up the display – note the simple MRC DC power pack under the benchwork. Keeping the controls simple for a couple of hours display on one track loop!

Another example of the NWV Model Railroad Association bringing model railroading to the greater public community!
Thank you to Chris Monje for providing the photos and helping John lay and wire the track!
